DIY: Personalized Shoe Box

Hi Readers!

     This is my very first post of DIY (Do-it-Yourself) project. Just like me I know lots of you ladies love collecting shoes, but where do you kept your shoes? Are you also tired of looking those shoes filled in ordinary shoe box? Or you want transparent shoe box but they are so expensive and you don't want to waste money for that.  What I'am gonna share to you now is my artwork in making personalized shoe box (I know your gonna love this idea just follow the instructions)

Materials

1. Double sided tape 2. Scissor 3.  Transparency OHP Film (Ascetate)
4. Black Cartolina (shine paper)  5. Gift wrap 6. Old Shoe Box

     You can buy Transparency OHP Film or Ascetate in National Bookstore it is cost around 40+ plus, and your choice of the gift wrap but I suggested to pick gift wrap with black color so that it will emphasize the black cartolina for the top cover. I also bought the black cartolina in National book store which is cost around P10.00 pesos each while the gift wrap cost P29.75 pesos. ). 

1.  First measure the side of the box 1/2 inch x 1/2 inch (or your choice, it still depend on the size of your shoe box in this project I use old shoe box that can fit 7 inches shoes)

2. Cut the middle (the rectangular shape)  just check the image above 3. Cover the shoe box body with the gift wrap 4. after wrapping.

5. Cut the ascetate or OHP Film into rectangular shape (make sure it will fit the internal side of the box) 6. Use double sided tape when putting the OHP Film (this is the best materials to use) 7. After putting the OHP Film now you can easily see what shoes filled inside 8. Then cover the top with black cartolina.

Heres the finished product of personalized shoe box.
 Now you have organize shoe files, less cluttered look, affordable and choice of your own style personalized shoe box .

Fashion 101: Color Blocking

     What is color blocking? In fashion color blocking is blocks of solid color worn together.   A mix of top and bottom or a dress paired with hand bag and shoes in solid color simply combining next to each other. It can be monotone, bright colors, warmer tones, muted, contrasting or complimentary colors. For a polished look it is best way to pair color block in basic colors like black, white, nude, brown or gray shoes.

Book Review: The Little Book of Big Attitude by Domique Christin with Magnetic Wisdom

     I saw a different book which is specially dedicated for us girl. I found this in a bookstore, this catch my attention because of the cute packaging. Inside the little book you can read about some quotes of famous women in the world like coco chanel, oprah, madonna and more.

Healthy Benefits of Cranberry

     I love drinking cranberry juice, before I really don't know the benefits of this fruit but after checking it in the net I'm glad it offers so many healthy benefits. Here some list of health benefits of cranberry juice:

• Avoid UTI (urinary truck infection) - the cranberry juice produce hippuric acid in the urine. The hippuric acid acidifies the urine and prevents bacteria from sticking to the wall of the bladder. (source: Organic Facts )

     Theres a lot of benefits you can check through the net. This afternoon I went to the nearest grocery and found this cranberry juice in tetra pack (usually cranberry juice comes in a big bottle or in gallon). The Apple & Eve Cranberry juice is available in SM hypermarket or supermarket. In 200 ml tetra pack cost P30.00 pesos.

     I know this post is very late (sigh!!) I forgot to post this last...last week so please forgive me about that :) (kneeling). So for this month of May my vanities were...

After reading so many reviews about Silka Green Papaya Soap I also grab this product in the grocery for my review. I read the reviews of one blogger that after using Silka she got whiter skin, so I  tried this...its my 3rd day of using this product but as of now I haven't seen any changes. Silka whitening herbal soap (green papaya) cost 30++plus.

Wardrobe 101: New FOREVER 21 knitwear

     Something new in my closet and I'm sharing it to you guys... My heart is pounding and I felt over joyed to received a new clothes and not only new it was from FOREVER 21 (will that's make me simply happy or shall I say my simple joy).

Shoe Rock!!

     I can't help it, but I wanted to blog also those shoes I saw in PFW. They're gorgeous and hope to wear them all. Those shoes were displayed outside the hall during the SM runway, all shoes were from Parisian. Check images below......

What I wore in PFW Holiday 2011

     Now I'm sharing to you guys what I wore in Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2011. I knew lots of ladies would wear their dresses, long gowns, skirt, high heels, pumps or anything that something girly so I inverted my clothes. I wore something edgy, classy, masculine but still have the touch of fashionable chic. I wore layered tops. For outer layer I wore black blazer (folded the sleeves above my elbow), a white top with blue stripes for the inner top. I also wore jeggings, black pumps and a black leather bag. For accessories I wore long necklace (with pink and gold pearls and silver lining) to enhance my attire and a drop pearl earing I also wore my fave watch.

Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2011: The Runway

     After sharing to you guys my first post about my Philippine Fashion Week experience now I'll share The Runway. L'Oreal Paris Philippine present the design collection of Lyle Ibañez and Yvonne Quisumbing. 

Lyle Ibañez designs:

     Most of his design in this event were in black color, it was something edgy yet sophisticated. For the gowns he use silk and georgette fabric, he also use soft cotton fabric and cloths made of black, silver and green sequence. For Anne Curtis gown, she wore a red tube gown made of silk and georgette fabric. Anne was really pretty that night, her colored bouncing hair add up to her glow.  Some models wore nude color gowns and green sequence color gowns (one long gown and other mix with silk and translucent fabric).

Yvonne Quisumbing designs:

     Yvonne's designs made of very sheen, light, translucent and silk fabric. Her design were in soft pink, white, black and grey color. For Anne Curtis attire, she wore two piece clothes, for her top a red translucent fabric and a black skirt. I like all the design of Yvonne on her collection, it was glamorous. I like also the design wore by model Marina Benipayo.

Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2011: My Experience

 Hi Readers!

   How's your day? Mine was fine, sorry if I did not write any blog last past few day's, first I was kind of busy this week and second I was trying to connect or log here in Blogger but for two day's  Blogger was under maintenance. Anyway the good news I can now add new blog and my finger was kind of excited typing on my laptop's keyboard.

  I'm excited to document this because this was a very special event for me and It was really my dream since my teenage day :) (or should I say my younger year) to attend in a fashion show where I can see designers clothes, models and high-profile people in fashion industry. I got the chance to watch Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2011 at Function 2 and 3 of SMX Convention Center in Mall of Asia last May 11, 2011 (Wednesday) around 9:30 p.m. Thanks to L'Oreal Paris Philippines for the invite.
